At Franklin Academy, we believe that participation in extracurricular and interscholastic athletics plays a vital role in developing well-rounded students. Our athletic program provides student-athletes with opportunities to grow as competitors, leaders, teammates, and scholars.

The term student-athlete reflects our commitment to balancing academic excellence with athletic achievement. Every athlete is expected not only to meet the standards outlined in the Franklin Academy Athletic Contract but to strive to exceed them. Success in the classroom and in competition is the foundation of our athletic program, and our coaches, teachers, staff, and administration work together each day to help every student reach their full potential.

Athlete Eligibility & Requirements

To be eligible for participation, all prospective student-athletes must submit the following:

In addition, all student-athletes must:

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA to remain eligible for competition.

  • Complete all required eligibility paperwork and receive athletic clearance.

  • Pay the required athletic participation fee in full.

Please note: Student-athletes may not participate in any conditioning sessions, practices, scrimmages, or games until all required forms have been approved, athletic clearance has been granted, and the athletic fee has been paid in full.
